1880' from state of Wisconsin 203 cm x 198 cm Patchwork is far long process sawing each piece together carefully to form designs. Trapunto is a quilting technique originated from Italy. It produces an embossed design by stuffing an area, and then quilting it and stuffing cotton or yarn on the back of the work. It requires highly skilled needlework done painstakingly. Only advanced quiltbees have tried Trapunto quilt, and it is a special masterpiece among American quilts. Whitework trapunto quilt is especially fine quilting work, and we rarely see antique whitework trapunto quilt these days. |
